The school is open to 20 participants and is intended for private landowners and managers.
Thank you to the Kansas Forest Service, Kansas Grazing Lands Coalition, and Kansas NRCS for financial support to host the multi-day school at a cost of only $50 per participant. Each participant will also receive a Nomex shirt and Prescribed Burning Notebook.
Both Kristin Kloft with KDWPT Milford Wildlife Area and Geary State Fishing Lake are providing locations and equipment to conduct prescribed burns, and will also serve as a burn boss for each burn. Instructors are: Jess Crockford, Gina Grier, Jason Hartman, Kristin Kloft, Jayson Prentice, Chip Redmond, Dusty Tacha, Doug Watson, Eric Wiens, John Weir, Carla Wikoff, and Shelly Wiggam.
